Our Target Communities

After pertinent look into all these reasons, we proceeded to the nearby schools in Ipokia, Maun, Tube, Ijofin, Agosasa, Agada, Idi-Iroko, Ajegunle, Ilase, Ifoyintedo, Ihunbo and Alaari communities where we interviewed students on some basics questions as regards.

After all these, we found it highly imperative for proper and well-structured educational system to be in place. This can only be achieved and embraced by these communities after a proper community/ parental sensitization, this, will unarguably shape the thoughts and re orientate their mindsets towards the need to be educated after which we can now scout for the intelligent young minds who are interested and willing to learn have no financial strength to do so.

Our Rural Projects ?
On getting to the community at exactly 7:12am on the 29th September 2015, we noticed that, majority of parents with their kids of age 5 and above were busy talking, chatting, feeding cows, cleaning the compound and doing one activity or the other which made us more curious and went round the communities for more than four hours interviewing parents on why their children were not in school as at 9am in the morning, parents couldn’t give any tangible reasons as some said.

  1. They don’t have the money to send their children to a private owned school and they can’t watch their children stay in public school where teachers come to school at their own convenient time.
  1. What’s the need for wasting time in school when their children can help them with farming and sales of their farm produce so as to see money to feed them.
  1. Other parents did not even see the need for education at all and while some parents said they are tired as there has not been any positive change in their children academically. They can’t communicate in English; they get nothing doing in class than to play all day and return back home after several hours of unproductive gathering.
